The Magic of Disney's Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom, Tips to Enjoy this Park, Tentative Schedule
Magic Kingdom, those words can bring a smile to almost anyone’s face. Depending on the time of year that you visit you may find it difficult to do everything you want to do. Keep in mind that Walt Disney World in central Florida is about the size of San Francisco and is packed with things to see and do. It is impossible to do everything, so it is wise to make an itinerary for your visit. Even then you will not get to see everything but at least this way you will enjoy and see as much as possible. If you were to spend one day per park you would still only be able to see the major attractions. Make sure that you build in time to enjoy swimming, boating and just relaxing at your resort.
Magic Kingdom One Day Schedule
*Get to Magic Kingdom first thing in the morning, they have an opening ceremony at the entrance of the park and it is very much worth seeing.
*After you enter the park, go directly to through the Castle to Fantasy Land. Do this first, you will find that the lines are not as bad first thing in the morning. Make sure you ride Dumbo, Peter Pan,The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and PhilharMagic. Oh and don’t forget the new part of Fantasyland, Belle’s Castle and Journey of the Little Mermaid. Try the new restaurant Be Our Guest, for dinner you will need reservations.
*When you are done in Fantasy Land go back through the castle and turn right to Adventure Land. Here, you will find the Jungle Cruise, The Enchanted Tiki Room, Swiss Family Robinson Tree House, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Magic Carpets of Aladdin.
*Make your way toward Frontierland and have lunch at Pecos Bill's Cafe. Here, you will find great food for the whole family. Then, move on to Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Tom Sawyer’s Island.
*If the time is right be sure to catch the show at the foot of the castle. This live stage show if fun for all.
*In Tomorrowland be sure to see Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin (Fast Pass this one if you can) and Space Mountain
*If you haven’t done so, be sure to see the Haunted Mansion and the Country Bear Jamboree.
*Do not miss the Main Street Electric Light Parade. Be sure to check your schedule and find seating at least 30 minutes before the parade begins.
*Just after the Electric Light Parade be sure to stay for the wondrous fireworks display Disney calls “Wishes”
*If you find you have time go back and do some of your favorite rides again.
Don’t forget to take advantage of the Fast Pass. This will come in handy, especially if the parks are crowded. If you are waiting to use your fast pass there are several rides that move quickly. Tomorrowland Transit Authority People Movers, Walt Disney World Railroad, The Enchanted Tiki Room, Carousel of Progress, Country Bear Jamboree, It’s a Small World and Tom Sawyer Island all move rather quickly.
If it is hot while you are visiting, go over to the Jungle Cruise, the tiki statues shoot water to cool you off.
